Limited Edition Garments
Every stage of the process in creating a LUMEN garment is thoughtfully considered and artisanal. From the iconic cloth of Harris Tweed to the hand printed Cyanotype features throughout the collections, Mhairi’s focus is on locality, sustainability and quality. LUMEN collections are created from carefully chosen Harris Tweed from the Harris Tweed Hebrides mill on the west side of the island. Every roll of tweed is a precious resource and means that LUMEN garments are all created in small batches, with every item made by hand from start to finish in Mhairi’s Isle of Lewis workshop. Her approach to production means there is not an endless supply of each cloth, with each length treasured right up to the final yarns.
