The Harris Tweed Smock - a timeless classic. This un-lined staple garment is perfect as a light top-layer in warmer seasons or as a mid-layer on cooler days. Each smock features a unique detail of a Cyanotype tab on one of the roomy patch pockets. Designed to have a relaxed fit with room for layering, the back of the smock falls around 2” longer than the front for design and comfort.
The versatility of this adaptable fabric means that LUMEN Harris Tweed Smock looks equally at home dressed down in the workshop with a pair of jeans and rigger boots, or dressed up with a silk scarf and your best breeks for a night out.

Basing the design on the lines of an old paint-spattered canvas family smock, the LUMEN Harris Tweed Smock draws upon the garments of many arts as well as maritime cultures, including that of the Hebrides.

  • Harris Tweed is made from 100% pure wool, which is naturally anti-bacterial, water-resistant and odour resistant, making Harris Tweed a very low-maintenance fabric.

    • If your garment just needs a freshen up, hang outside in the sun and then press with a medium-heat iron.

    • If you’ve spilled something on it, most things will come off with a damp sponge.

    • If an all-over wash is necessary, dry clean or handwash only.

    • If your Harris Tweed item features Cyanotype, this must be hand-washed to preserve the beautiful hues.
